Presence

Atul Chandra Sarkar

I will leave my footprints
On your mental slush,
You will remember me
When you cry not blush;
My image shall appear
In your tear's reflection,
You will remember me,
One without your affection;
I shall float down silently
In the stream of your dream,
I'll enter the closet of your life
As through an inlet a gleam;
When you shut your eyes
In their gaudy blobs, I'll be,
When lightening splits heaven,
You shall remember me;
I shall flash before your sight
When in quiet you repose,
I'll be in your loneliness,
In your thorns, not rose.
