The bare trees
embraced by sky
fine branches offered
to the soft cloudy light
open in me bohemian ways
labyrinths of roots and knots
rising in fragile lines of sap
I follow them in silence
in this sky mysterious contemplate
the hope to have inscribed on my face
the fine features luminous
of humbles
men women
embraced by sky.

Les arbres nus
embrassés de ciel
branches fines offertes
à la lumière tamisée de nuages
ouvrent en moi des chemins de bohême
labyrinthes de racines et nœuds
qui s’élèvent en lignes fragiles de sève
je les suis en silence
dans ce ciel mystérieux contemple
l’espoir que s’inscrivent sur mon visage
les traits fins lumineux
des humbles
hommes femmes
embrassés de ciel.

Los árboles desnudos
abrazados de cielo
ramas finas ofrecidas
a la luz tamizada de nubes
abren en mí caminos bohemios
laberintos de raíces y nudos
elevándose en líneas frágiles de savia
las sigo en silencio
en el cielo misterioso contemplo
la esperanza que se inscriban en mi rostro
los rasgos finos luminosos
de los humildes
hombres mujeres
abrazados de cielo.

ABOUT THE POET ~
Born in 1979 and raised in Belgium, Christel Visée spent several years in France and Spain. At present she lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and three sons. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications and has been realizing local radio programs since 2004. She writes every poem in three languages: French, English and Spanish.
