Dragonfly

I watch you when you walk,
7714 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn,
New York 11214, this place
is more beautiful when you walk,
when you ride breeze into the mist
behind the lilac shadow of a tree.
Dragonfly always follows us.
Emperor dragonfly, the prime messenger
of all the good news, the sign of luck.
We love silence, as if dragonfly
wants us to know what lies behind silence,
a secret, as if dragonfly wants us to touch
that silence, reveal a secret, as our own breath,
but there are no words in our thoughts,
there are no thoughts in our minds,
there is trust only, language of silence,
universal with a simple syntax,
we recognized ourselves in others,
and felt how a quiet recognition
can drown out every fear.
