Biography
Dimitris P. Kraniotis is an award-winning Greek poet. He was born in Stomio, a coastal town in central Greece. He studied at the Medical School of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. He lives and works as a physician (Internal Medicine Specialist) in Larissa, Greece. He is the author of 7 poetry books: Traces (1985), Clay Faces (1992), Fictitious Line (2005), Dunes (2007), Endogram (2010), Edda (2010), Illusions (2010). He is Academician of the Academy Tiberina of Rome, Academician of the International Academy of Micenei (Italy), Doctor of Literature by World Academy of Arts and Culture, President of 22nd World Congress of Poets (Greece 2011) and "Laureate Man of Letters" by U.P.L.I., Vice-President of United Poets Laureate International, President of World Poets Society (W.P.S), Vice-President of Larissa Union of Poets & Writers, Ambassador to Greece of Poetas del Mundo, Member of the Editorial Board of the Greek literary magazine Graphi and Member of National Society of Greek Literary Writers, Hellenic Literary Society, Greek PEN Centre, Hellenic Society of Writing Physicians, International Society of Greek Writers and international organizations. He has won many international awards for his poetry which has been translated into 17 languages and published in many countries.
