You, You, You

by M. Douglas Hoss

I clear the sleepy haze from me
Where my first thoughts are you.
I shower, shave and take my way
And still, I think of you.

I speak with friends and work my work
And think my thoughts of you.
I live those things defining me
And again, my thoughts are you.

I travel lonely streets at night
Half a man, not whole
And still again, my thoughts are yours
And again, each part my soul.

As all my empty days drift by
My thoughts are always you.
And when I go to sleep at night
I dream you’re here and love me too.
