Beggars of Love

Aren't we pathetic beings?
We always do the wrong things.
Though we truly have a choice,
We never listen to the right voice.

Aren't we selfish creatures?
We hope that others would understand our source.
Though we have minds, we think differently.
And maybe we love but not mutually.

Aren't we beggars of love?
We wish to own the people we can't have.
What a great challenge for us to surpass!
Accepting reality without breaking a glass.

To those who love but love is unrequited,
Love is tragic at times though it isn't what we wanted.
Love should be given freely not being asked for.
At some point love is a curse but also the cure.
