Comments on my Poem

What are you trying to say with this poem?
They'll ask.

I am not trying to say anything,
I'll say.
I am just telling you what happened.

What's the point of that?
They'll say.
It isn't interesting.

Life isn't always interesting,
I'll say.

Oh, but Poetry makes it interesting!
Someone will exclaim.

And I'll wonder.

(Or maybe I won't.
I am always anticipating conversations
and often people say completely different things.)
