Conqueror Of The World

A man of great valor,
Walking on the royal path,
Returning victorious;
Yet from another war.
His sword bearing honor to his soulful kingdom.

Everyone knew, about his mighty deeds;
Defeating the kings, cutting them as weeds
Conqueror of the worlds, he was;
Threatening defeats in his life were dim;
As he had his fate bowed before him;

None dared to stand before his anger;
For it meant certain death; painful and longer.
Yet kind in his judgment, he was;
Leading his kingdom towards righteousness

He always wore a smile on his face
Deceiving the world, hiding his pain
Little did they know, What hid behind those illusory smiles
Little did they know what laid behind his faultless eye

He had everything;
A physical paradise
But no one knew, the absence of love in his life
None knew, the pain that smeared his glittering eye

Winning every war, but could not celebrate his victory
For he had no loved ones in his evenly large territory
Making others happy he was growing old;
Hiding his pain behind a smile of glitzy gold

One day he died
Buried deep in earth’s embrace..
Many eyes cried,
But hearts missed him none;
Alas the conqueror of the world was forever alone.
