Flotsam and Moss

by Mark Olynyk

composing layers of a poem
in subtle shades of meaning
oblique and opaque
occult and the known
documenting phases
of a random life
or a sense of purpose shown
the secret language of poems
a compression of prose
into symbols of code
fragments and dross
images lost
flotsam and moss
on a stone
