Focus

by Drora Matlofsky

To stand on one leg,
Says my yoga teacher,
Focus
On a point in the room.

I tried.
It doesn't always help.

What does help
Is to focus
On my breathing
At the same time,

To look at my goal
Without losing touch
With myself.

That's useful.
Because, let's face it:
In life
One is often standing
On one leg.
