With the outgoing year in passage
I hope you hear my message
for the coming year
and every year thereafter.
Better not be sold
to old habits, customs and
insinuations for grand
and rigid path or brand.
Let us be more human and bold.
My mind goes on to trace
those who are strung
lower in the rung
of prosperity and progress.
As the world may not seem
similar, familiar and fair
in future anywhere easy or near,
I shall like to place my dream.
Let us work hereafter---
year after year---
for a united human family worldwide
with humanity on our side.
