Promise Me

by Franci Welcker

When my memory is gone,
When it becomes too hard to breathe,
When my words come out wrong,
Promise me, you'll stay forever strong.

When my fingers can no longer play,
When my faults get too hard to take,
When I can no longer say your name,
Promise me, instead of leaving please stay.

When I cry into the night,
When our conversations turn to fight,
When its helpless to see the light,
Promise me, you'll make it alright.

Because there are those days,
When life gets hard to take,
And after all those years we're made,
Sometimes I just need to hear you say.

I promise to make it all better,
We are forever and ever,
We stand, as one together,
Because,
I promise so.

When I can no longer stand,
When the truth is too hard to bear,
When my sight no longer sees,
Promise me, you'll still care for me.

When all I do is remanence
When my sanity is no longer near,
When my dreaming is all that exists,
Promise me, you'll never disappear.

Because there are those days,
When life is hard to take,
After all those years we're made,
Sometimes you just need to hear me say,

I promise to make it all better,
We are forever and ever,
We stand as one together,
Because,
I promise so.

When your memory is gone,
When you can barely breathe,
When your words come out wrong,
I promise to stay forever strong.

ABOUT THE POET ~
Hi, my name is Franci, I am 13 years old, and enjoy writing stories and poems. I want to become professional someday, but first I need feedback about the stuff I've got now, and if what I call "talent" is real, or just my imagination. Thank-you.
