Show Off

by Drora Matlofsky

Chava's parents are ninety.
They like to go out dancing,
Quarelling all the way
To the ball.

Chava drives them.
At sixty-two, she is the young lady
Of the ball.
Her mother scolds her
For showing off:
'You are the only one with a pink hat,' she says.
