The Shining Light

by Barbara Miles Jackson

The light that shines,
though darkness comes;
The light that shines,
though the sun shines darkly;
The light that shines,
through dark times - through danger;
The brightness that shines,
is a guiding light;
Lift up your eyes,
hope and see;
The light that shines,
though you stumble;
The light that shines,
though justice is far from you;
The brightness that shines,
brings assurance - be not afraid;
Lift up your eyes,
hope and see;
The light that shines,
has set standards;
Just stand be radiant,
be not ashamed he who waits;
The brightness that shines,
reflects the acceptance.
