We Are One

by Frank Sheehan

We may have our differences
disputes up the wazoo
speak different languages
wear different clothes
have various colored skin
live in many places
have numerous religions,
etc. - - - - - But
We Are All One!
There's no getting around this
It's the fabric of our being
It's our make-up
Our justification for existence
The sooner we realize this
The better off we'll be
It'll lay the foundation
for more fruitful lives
with less discrimination,
Wars, deceitfulness
The beginning of the new.
