November 26th
by vivekanand Jha
We remember, we remember
It was 26th November
Some were in sweet slumber
Some were deluged in
Yellow, green and amber.
Some were basking
In the breeze bumper
Some were relishing the flavour.
These were all momentary pleasure
Then suddenly things
Turn to that were never:
The earth of innocence
Turned to brutal blood-river
By the tsunami of trigger and terror
As if child were playing
Video game on computer.
Fire rained with storm, hail and thunder
History all set to incorporate another blunder
Close on the heels of 11th September
That has ripped off the world trade tower.
The sea suffered high tide of nautical fever
That caused body to shake and shiver
How can we forget the sacrifice and bravery
Of commandoes and soldiers
That has saved the nation,
set on smoulder.
How can we forgive those ministers?
Along with the brazen film makers
Who reached the spot, not to provide succour
But to capture the scenes of devastation
Caused by the bloody fuckers
We remember, we remember.
