A Star is Born

A STAR IS BORN

They say the stars
Rise at the East,
Whilst the sun sets
At the west
Oh I was a star,
Born in the North
A melancholy
And an untamed breed
That appeared in the solstice………………..

Mama used to say
“Put my words
In your left hand
And pocket it
Everywhere you go,
Not in your right hand
Where you shall eat it
And discard it
O’ I wish I heeded her words
How time flies,
Now I lay in regrets
After missing so many opportunities

O’ Peter!!!!!!!!
You should never
Have fallen prey
For you were killed
In your Prime,
By these bloodsucking demons
O how man can wrought
The worst evils
All for money
These are indeed hard times,
Rest in Peace Brother

In my imperfections,
Do not crucify my mistakes
For there is only One Judge
Who is above
For I was only born,
To act this script………………………

This life is a jungle
Only the fittest can survive
All man for himself,
Was the rule in this game
You had to be smart,
To eat fat
The street taught me this.
Though I might be a Phlegmatic,
Do not misjudge my silence
For I am running this race,
To obtain the crown

Every new day,
I have no idea
Of what lies ahead,
But I keep on striving
In the midst of these tempest,
I am on destiny’s lane,
I can never be tamed

O’ Dad!!!!!!
If I had heeded your words,
These story would never
Have been told,
For I am dancing with destiny,
This is Heaven’s predestination…………..

O’ Father and Mother!!!!!!
I am a Poet,
Not a Diplomat
Preaching through my pen and paper,
I am a keeper of words
That will speak forever
I am an old soldier,
An immortal whose words
Will never die.
Writing is my addiction,
These are raw truths,
Spewing from my diction
Read these lines from the beginning again,
The greatest verse in history,
For A STAR IS BORN

DESOLATION OF TOMORROW

I am on transit
Across the plains and terrains,
To the hills and valleys
And across the mountaintops
I am on a mission
Across the passage of time
To where it all began today………….

I know not what
The sun and moon brings,
As it shines daily
Through the days and season

I know not what
My star speaks
As it twinkles at me
A distance far away
In the sky and heavenly abode

I know not what this raven
Sings in its coarse cravings,
But I know
It has a word for me

I know not what
Each day brings,
As time tickles away,
But this I know,
Every day is laden
With opportunities
For a man
To make haste while the sun shines

I know not what
Reign
The storms and rain
Prowls out
Is it a season of
Bountiful harvest
Or days of hunger and lack?

I know not where
The wind blows from,
But this I know,
There is a wind of change
Blowing open a window
Of opportunity across the land

For I know not what
Tomorrow may bring,
But this I know
I shall live the morrow
In my today,
For the day of death
Draws nigh
When I shall sleep
And dine with my Ancestors,
For ages to come……………………….
