The Reason

Help me find a reason, why,

 these poems must end in you;
though you are far gone away  cutting  the sugar w eeds

of my words while you still pretend to be kind.

As though i came to ask you where

and you showed me the way, and though

you would not say, and I kept going.

 Help me find why after all these years

these poems return to burn me

still on my way

only because,  the need to have them

closer to me,

more now than then, and more then and now,

as , was much more my need

to be in  love with you.
