Purely Trivial

Dwindling time casts upon a dime
purely sentimental yet captivating
much to my dismay hoping it would go away
thoughts cross my mind
never knowing what is the delay
how can a person think one thing yet know nothing?
periods of waves crash the empty shore turning pages in their minds
hopelessly they gaze at the sky not knowing where to stare
go away I say, go away
meaninglessly they glare
empty hearts, shallow heads
to my dismay they go away.
