The Genesis of Genocide

by Ken W Simpson

Thoughts translate into words
from conversations and observations
reflections and recollections
that can distort and dissemble
devolving and evolving
amicably
or spiced with bitterness
dredged from past
insinuations and accusations
that smoulder
pompously and patriotically
belligerently
until both sides collide
armed with weapons
that efficiently kill and maim
leaving behind
the cycle of tyranny
as a smouldering wasteland.
