The Life Review

A wise professor taught us,
How to grow beyond our needs,
How to care for other people,
From the heart: not just good deeds.

Perhaps we are the wisest,
When our words are small and few,
So we can hear the ripples,
From the stone that we threw.

Mother Teresa couldn’t change the world,
Despite her humble touch,
To the millions in need,
She gave them all so much.

If we listen to the waters,
And the people that we love,
Our life review will flourish,
Here on earth and up above.

I don’t pretend to be a Saint,
I only wish to give,
Someone who will listen,
A better way to live.
