About Enrique Iglesias
Enrique Iglesias, born May 8, 1975 in Madrid, Spain, is a Spanish pop singer-songwriter and actor. He began his career in Mexico under the independent record label Fonovisa Records and went on to become one of the most successful artists in Latin America. In the late 1990s, he left his record label to sign a contract with Universal Music. This included the recording of several albums for an English-speaking audience, via Interscope, and Spanish-language albums for the Spanish-speaking market, via Universal Music Latino. He is the second son of the famous singer Julio Iglesias and Isabel Preysler.Enrique Iglesias has sold over 70 million albums and over 40 million singles worldwide (over 12 million albums in the United States alone). He had two number one hits (Bailamos and Be with You) on the Billboard Hot 100 and one number one hit (Hero) on the UK Billboard Hot 100. His song 'Rhythm Divine' also achieved great success in Spain and the United States in 1999-2000. He also holds the record for twenty-seven number one hits on the US Spanish-language Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
