Pain is also a trap like death

Pain is also a trap like death

How fanciful this pain is,
to its deep creep,
down there to sink me,
what if never hollered
about I feel inside,
what if I never cried.

Here am in the river bank,
not sunk but painful.
the waters of the time
never told me to swim across,
so loyal and so noble.

River is not a river now,
it is not a death,
it is not cold,
nor a self-serving woman
but a snare.
with hands and hairs; a trick.

How deep, how dark, how scary.
at once its cold, then numb
and then a vacuity.
soon a dream, an eternal dream.

A dream within a dream,
a trap inside trap,
a pain inside pain,
I am inside myself,
I could see I float
so lovely and doomed,
lurking an end, dreaming,
a dream inside a dream within dream.

Pain is a trap like death!
