Philosophy

A rivulet flowing through the valleys of mind.
A beam of light to guide the way.
A love for wisdom, A cry of truth.
An aged cave, where all answers lay.

Have you ever peeped inside that well?
Have you ever searched for honest clay?
Have you ever shared your bed with reason?
Did you ever hear what conscience had to say?

If ‘No’ be your answer, then please beware,
You live in the illusion not in the day.
Your heart needs trust, not just dry blood;
In the winds of obscurity, your mind does sway.

For rumours travel faster than light.
Don’t blindly follow them just as they.
Right is mixed with the fiction of wrong,
Fish out the truth from the deep False Bay.

Always to your help shall come Philosophy,
Colouring your life and all that was grey.
Don’t lose hope; knowledge is but a soap
It cleanse the dirt of sweaty fray.

Move around and ask all your doubts.
Why moon looks sad and sun seems gay?
What is happiness? Why do we love?
Why cool in December and hot in May?

Enlightenment may then knock your door;
Surroundings be clearer day by day.
Revelations happen when ‘Philo’ meets ‘Sophia’,
And you will be blessed to bounty by Frey.

Now it is up for you to decide,
Whether to ride the society’s dray,
Or to turn away from futile fights,
And traverse the path where reason lay.
