The splashing rains,
Have removed the earth,
From my face,
Washed my skull,
But, the ocular hollows,
Fail to see;
The aural cavities,
Fail to listen;
The vocal box,
Fail to thank;
Phalanges of fingers,
Cannot unite,
To hold:
The posthumous award?
