Sands of Time

The river of Time
Is not kind to all.
Some stones, it lovingly crafts
And polishes in to distinctive shapes;
Others it erodes and leaves behind
With cruel marks of its passage
And the rest it mercilessly grinds
In to sands of time.

ABOUT THE POET ~
Born on 28th October, 1953, a self-confessed, perennial student devoted to lifelong learning, B Tech in 1978, M Tech in 1990 and PhD (Industrial Engineering & Management) from IIT Kharagpur in 2001, worked for 24 years in the engineering and steel industries, took up academics as a career in 2002, Professor, IIT Kharagpur, and currently setting up Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, Uttarakhand India, extensively trained abroad and published a book on management research, recipient of an international award for management teaching, poems published in Telegraph, Femina etc, avid motorcyclist currently ride a Royal Enfield Classic 350, completed a 3000 km motorcycle odyssey in Ladakh covering the highest and treacherous road in the world up to 18000 feet, photo-canvases in many reputed private collections.
