The Last Letter

I’ve read your letter a thousand times
And recognized those phrases you wanted me to understand
Not like I would've distracted you from moving on
But I wonder what is it …that still keeps you so withdrawn

The way you assure me that you really care
While you keep saying that we'll soon be through
Can see the chaos in your words
Just like the last line stating 'I’ll always love you'

A part of me wants you again
While the other part is still running away
I’ve lost my star amidst a million of them
And to recognize it, it should definitely sway

Nothing can stop me from loving you again
With a few moments crushing my heart,
It’s difficult to forget
Holding the last letter in my hand
And recalling the time... when we first met

It’s good that you're not around
Because there is something breaking within
You’ll stay with me no matter how far you'd be
In every drop of hope under my skin!
