I don't want to fall in love

I don’t want to fall in love
I don’t want my bones to crush.
I don’t want to swiftly burn for somebody, who won’t care about my ashes
who will once stop and won’t reply to my message.
I don’t want to fall in love to become strangers
or to make wagers
on whose heart will give up first
I don’t wait for me to burst
in tears, when it is all done.

I don’t want to fall in love
I want to slowly sink in it,
to be able to breathe in it.
I don’t want to catch myself waiting for the minute
when you stand up and leave.
I want to be relieved
by your presence.
I don’t care about your presents
just about how much
you can love me.
I want you to touch me
and reach my heart,
I want you to kiss your way into my dark.
I want you to trust me,
I want you to hug me
when I feel like I can take it.
That’s love and we will make it ours.
I don’t mind the lonely hours
as long as I know
that you wait for me
at the end of the line,
at the end of the dark
to be my light,
which guides me to paradise.
One, which we share
and there will be no regrets,
no secrets.
Just love.

So no…
I don’t want to fall in ”love”.
