by Victoria Rose
To you, my family may seem small,
But I promise there's more that meets the eye.
Each member rests on their thrown,
Smiling way beyond the sky.
Grandmas throne is huge,
My great grandmas is even bigger,
My aunts is all gold,
And they're all protected by a mighty figure.
There's a special place in Heaven,
A special hall of fame.
Thrones upon thrones,
Covered in my family's name.
Then there's Earth,
A sad a dreary place,
Where we complain so much
About the struggles we face.
And though those struggles are hard,
And the days are so long,
My family sits on their thrones,
And have been watching me all along.
