Vodka Tonic

Poison slips into glass,
The glass into hand—
Raises out of control
To mouth to release

A secret from the dark—
Devilish whisper
Toxic—I’m subdued
Into bewilderment

Struck blue for moments
Without rail support
Or pleasure only nails
Ripping to two--a spine.
