Coping with HIV/AIDS

Another sunset, another day to mourn
mistakes past.
Waterfalls of sadness cascade through regretful mind,
mothers wail to deaf doctor’s ears.

Another day, another sunrise.
Who know if tomorrow will have a cure?

Rejected by the fast-paced world
once beautiful now scorned by image in the mirror.
Walking a lonely road, fighting the good fight.

Another day, another burden.
Tomorrow brings you closer to paradise.
Wearing a crown of regret and hate
heavy hearts mourn wretched light state.
Exploded rage as humanity
brings annual compassion and fleeting sympathy.

Another day, another pain.
Few salute you.

Needles remind you of earlier times
pursuing careless dreams.
You continue to exist with countless others.

Feverishly the solutions fail.
Another day bears little joy.

The growing quilt a monument of past struggles
bringing cherished hope to millions.
Names upon names, tears upon tears
cannot find a cure.

Another day, another loss.
In a life planned to be short.
