Ed Sheeran, born February 17, 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, is an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His professional career began in 2011 with the record company Atlantic Records, which released his debut album, +. This album achieved great success in his country and in other English-speaking countries. The albums x (2014) and ÷ (2017) followed, which achieved even wider and more massive international success, which continued long after their release thanks to streaming. He then released the album No.6 Collaborations Project in 2019, which saw him collaborate with different artists, and in 2021 the album = (Equals), another great success despite declining sales. Two more intimate and less pop albums were released in 2023, - (Subtract) and Autumn Variations, which quickly collapsed in the weekly album sales charts, unlike the previous albums. His eighth album, Play, was released in September 2025. Two of Ed Sheeran's tours were hugely successful, the Divide Tour (2017–2019) and the +–=÷x Tour (2022–2025).His most popular songs are Shape of You and Perfect, from her third album ÷, as well as Thinking Out Loud (released in 2014), Photograph (2014), Castle on the Hill (2017), Galway Girl (2017), I Don't Care, a duet with Justin Bieber (2019), Bad Habits (2021) and Shivers (2021).
