About Ravyn Lenae
Ravyn Lenae is an American R&B singer-songwriter from Chicago. She is a member of Atlantic Records. She began writing her own songs in middle school at Roseland Christian School before attending the Chicago High School for the Arts where she studied classical music. She graduated from this school in May 2017 at the age of 17. Ravyn Lenae is part of the Zero Fatigue collective, a local music collective composed of Smino, Jean Deaux and producer Monte Booker, all from Chicago. In early 2015, she released her first single, Greetings, which was very well received by the local public. She then ended up signing with a renowned Chicago label, Three Twenty Three Music Group.She independently released her first EP in 2015. It was well received by the public and reissued in 2016 by her label. She subsequently appeared as a featured vocalist on Mick Jenkins' album The Healing Component, and also on Noname's song Forever. She toured with Noname on her Telefone Tour, as well as SZA's CTRL Tour. She subsequently released her second EP, Midnight Moonlight, in 2017. Ravyn Lenae gradually gained more and more success, which allowed her to perform at several festivals, including the Pitchfork Music Festival in 2018 and South by Southwest. As a result, she was named one of the 10 artists to know by Rolling Stone magazine in 2017.
