About Roy Orbison
Roy Orbison, born April 23, 1936 in Vernon, Texas, and died December 6, 1988 in Hendersonville, Tennessee, was an American singer-songwriter, a pioneer of rock 'n' roll, nicknamed The Big O. In 1981, he received a Grammy Award for his duet with Emmylou Harris on the song That Lovin' You Feelin' Again. The song's use in David Lynch's 1986 film Blue Velvet brought him renewed popularity; he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the following year.
