Teddy Swims, born Jaten Collin Dimsdale on September 25, 1992, in Conyers, Georgia, United States, is an American singer-songwriter whose music blends genres such as R&B, soul, country, and pop. He initially gained a following through song covers on his YouTube channel throughout 2019 and 2020. His third EP, Tough Love (2022), earned him his first entry on the Billboard 200.Swims rose to prominence in 2023 with his single Lose Control, which reached the top 10 in several countries and topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024. Considered his most notable single as an artist, it was preceded by the release of his debut studio album I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1), which reached the top 10 in Australia and the Netherlands. In 2024, MTV named Swims their Push Artist of the Month for February.
