The Lodestar unto Myself

Yayati Madan G. Gandhi

In breathless swiftness
I catalyze creations
in heart of galactic silence:
the void of self-procreative darkness.

I’m manifest creativity
of bare blue skies,
the alphabeted order that permeates
the bones and sinews of gut reality.

I’m glue of gravitation that binds
globes and galaxies,
to set in motion the cycles entire.

Unceasing is my salvation work,
my world-load of sins I myself bear,
I’m my own saviour.

The lodestar to myself,
the centre of racing heavens;
I pre-map frontiers of my flight.

Homed in all-just equable life
I sing of the free man,
the one-earth family;
every creature breathing full the freedom’s air.

Every life-form, genus and species
countless star systems and galaxies,
the expanding universes, the racing skies:
impelled by intense desire to be,
the divine wish never to die
all universes move and race.

Unmindful of colossal crashes and quakes
I continue to play the highest stakes,
every calamity steels my supple self.

Oblivious of whirls and swirls,
through high seas I sail
on my little raft of faith.

Caught in whirls of cosmic deep,
my flight is bound for the farthest sun
beyond the biggest black holes and the far off constellation.

In every depressing defeat
I see my triumph hidden,
every despairing condition
pulls me back to my feet.

This trust in the power of self
spurs you to everything great,
can reverse even the writ of fate.

My faith is my realization
that causes cathedrals to rise
with domes kissing the sky.

My light shines in every revelation,
to every aspiring soul I’m the inspiration.
My truth lends meaning to every moment of life.

Bodhisattva of the new age
all knowledge I cosmocize
to transform man’s eco-existence.

In my vision
praxis-symbiosis
in unison work
for the common good.

The bio-tech costume I wear
my new version of Nirvana,
Ying yang, the balance all-sustaining
informs all levels of existence.
