Once There Was, Now There Is

Once there was, now there is
Music to hear, life to love,
Choice to stay, power to move,
Freedom to grow and form to fill.

You see, make it flee?
Search for its absence, remonstrate its presence?
Dare to deserve, willing to claim?
Open to experience, alert to learn?

Yes ideas do arise, make you feel wise.
Acts do inspire, hence you aspire.
Doubts do stymie, you ask ‘why me?’
Theories do ascertain, deluding into doctrine.

Now I see, catching it flee.
Abolish its absence, alight its presence.
Daring to deserve, willing to claim,
Open to experience, alert to learn.

Again there was, now there is
Music to hear, life to love,
Choice to stay, power to move,
Freedom to grow and form to fill.
