Water Goddess

She is drawn to the sea by it's beauty and it's smell
The aromatic spray that perfumes the air
The sound of the water rushing to draw you near
Sea birds calling you to pay attention to the life that lives beneath
Come..come to baptize yourself with a warm salty cleansing
Wash all your worries away in the blue wonder
Float upon her buoyant mattress and lose your sense of time

Collect the shells as you walk along the warm path to your soul
Watch the dolphins frolic carelessly like children playing
Seagulls swooping down to their share of it's bounty
Distant boats along the horizon remind you of how vast she is
Various shades of blue to make your heart sing
She is calling and wants to seduce you like a lover
Go to her, she will caress you with her silky warmth

ABOUT THE POET ~
Growing up in a large multicultural city, I have always been curious about what makes us who we are. Through nature, we can truly find ourselves in those moments of silence when we can hear & see, that we learn a lot., I learned from a young age that I am a mermaid who always longs to be at sea, for it's there, that my heart wants to be.
