The Pulling Away

Some roads rise
To meet the men who have set their way.
It's the years that turn around to say goodbye.
It's the setting sun that sends it away.

Where is wisdoms light
In a future that never came.
In bright eyes that once dared to fight
It's an empty wind that calls my name

And I'm letting go, and I'm giving in
It's a Fathers love that reaches out
To change the man within
And your loving arms, they chase me down
They chase me down

There's a wisdom that few men find
A heart that cannot give, cannot stay
The open hand; The wayward mind
And all of The Pulling Away

And I'm letting go, and I'm giving in
It's a Fathers love that reaches out
To change the man within
And your loving arms, they chase me down
They chase me down
