Focused and directed, determine to be born,
Feeling, seeing, moving--
Determine to have one's way.
Focused and directed, child like in every way.
Focused and directed, youthful--
Education, trail and error,
Parent shaping, molding, moving through life,
Focused and directed by parent's hand.
Focused and directed, on your own.
Determine, over shadowing, seeing, molding,
Over confident, boldly moving too fast.
Focused and directed adult like in every way.
Focused and directed coming to term with life,
Slipping, sliding, reaching, rearranging.
Determined to find a new way,
Focused and directed living the joys of life.
Focused and directed, determine to be,
Listening, feeling, seeing, moving,
Over shadowed by age,
Focused and directed child like in every way.

ABOUT THE POET ~
Barbara B-Miles Jackson, born in 1948, grew up in Texas, studied poetry as a student in school. The poetry of other poets inspired me to go forward, changing myself when I could not change my situation. I one child and two grandchildren., Later needing a way of expression and focus, I turned to writing poems. Writing reminds me, we must travel through life situations with as much grace and dignity as possible., I started writing in 1995 for an Open Poetry Contest with National and International Library of Poetry. Most In the US and other in Europe.
