Window pain

by Darnisha Hudson

I looked at the window.
Watching each rain drop hit.
It was as if the sky knew my feelings.
I could know see myself.
There I was face to face with myself.
My eyes began to flood.
My throat began to burn.
For that I almost didn't recognize myself.
That sunlight I used to be was now covered with thick grey clouds.
I could hear my heart beat over sound my thoughts.
My tears fell.
The sound of them hitting my lab matched the sound of the rain hitting the window.

ABOUT THE POET ~
I love to write, sing, and dance. What made me write poem was to express my feelings. I'm better on writing a free verse poem.
