How do you describe

causing you to go
in another direction

cruising along,
you hit a bump

in the road
forcing you to shift gears
and swerve.

It's a puzzle, dilemma
trying to maintain
consistency amidst turmoil

but you traverse
many pitfalls
during excursions

through the perplexity
of everyday's survival
enjoying the ride.
