War poem.
I am Hawo;
A girl who is forced out of her country by civil war.
A girl who was only a baby when she first saw war.
A girl who hails from where gangsters storm at nights and steal everything.
A girl who hasn’t seen her country in years.
A girl who descended from a place people eat camel meat.
A girl whose family is far away
Thinking of their safety in a country tore apart by war.
A girl whose father is diabetic,
In setting where seeing a doctor is a privilege.
