My Homeless Heart

by Lucio Muñoz

What a beautiful star,
Always shinning like no other,
For me she was my heart’s altar,
For her I was her brother.

I saw her going across the rainbow,
In search of the career of her life,
I remember bending my elbow,
And thinking she will be a wonderful wife.

Soon after she left that day,
I felt a very deep sadness,
No more smiles to display,
As my heart was then homeless.
