Outflanked

by Jerry Buckley

An hour to kill - a happy hour patio - on the rim of Music City
Outflanked by social beings - congregated - unwinding
Hipsters nursing wings and craft pints - pontificating on whatever
Young gun Millennials - sharing a pizza and a bucket of Miller Lite
What's up with the sunglasses in the shade?
And loitering at the middle table - a solitary geez
His draft Yuengling - and his history book
