What's It All About

by Mario William Vitale

In a moment I wonder
What is life all about ?
Are all roads always rocky,
Are they smooth, well, I doubt

I ever I will know, it takes lifetimes I hear,
To perceive of a pattern, if any,
Seem clear
So, I travel through days

Years disappear
Where is the water ?
My doubts turns to hope,
I see smooth patterns here

I get fooled for a minute
I guess age has a way,
Of casting light shadows
Over that which seems gray

So, I'm back to a pattern,
Of which, nothing seems clear;
In this moment I wonder,
I see nothing to fear.
