Writer's Block

by Mark Olynyk

writer’s block is the wedge
in the doorway
to inspiration and self-knowledge
the creative impulse chained
in the sub-basement
of thought
by endless distractions
and my indifference
where the vault is often locked
without the combination
ready at hand
where is the key
to release my internalization?
