Saynt Valentyn, that art ful hy on-lofte,
Thus syngen smal{.e} foul{.e}s for thy sak{.e}:

Wel han they caus{.e} for to gladen oft{.e},
Sith ech of hem recover{.e}d hath hys mak{.e};
