A Musing Art

by Mark Olynyk

The poet musing
Listens to Isis
Whisper unbidden images.
Receiver of signals
A satellite dish.
He manipulates random
Occult impressions.
Unconscious bones
Of genetic memory.
This summation
Is the moment’s consummation.

Illumination
He pictures Brahma
A non-self of himself.
With cows untouched
And sacred rats roaming India
Truth in animal disguise.

The Chinese Tao
Is the right way
Behind it all.
A blueprint of choices
Already made.
The circle architect
Of yin and yang
The river Change.

The elder ones walking
With animist beliefs
Hear spirits in the trees
Guiding lost souls
To the forest of rest
Where animals are wise.

Transmission over
A broken picture.
Isis and Pharaoh
Under the desert.
