The Influence Of Spring

by Mario William Vitale

Luscious, green vegetation blooms so intensely,
The colors so vivid; they squint in your eye

Then, as out of nowhere-
The pink and yellow and the brown will entwine,

While the orange of sunset and the blue of the sky
Transcend their heavenly beauty

Next, petals will quiver, a little afraid
To open their precious parts-

But, confidence gained, they push and they shove
Gradually covering their buds

Floral designs so artistic & pretty;
Seem to dance to the bird's morning twitter;

Swaying frantically a petal soon falls to the earth
Perhaps on a child's little finger,

Or floats away on a chilling breeze
The whiff of wind blushing each cheek

So, children are born;
Flowers will bloom;

The sun spreads its golden hue;
The weather warms up, as the hearts of all the people,

Who have been into contact with you
